Brightly banded drawers (probably 'knicker-drawers') in maroon and white silk gauze. Fashioned legs caught into solidly knitted cuffs. The waist is lined with silk taffeta which curves down in front and fastens with three pearl buttons and buttonholes.Adjustment for fit is made at the back waist with ribbons through two pairs of eyelet holes. Applied to the waist are straps for the ends of the braces to pass through before buttoning to the trousers.
