A pair of circular knitted mid brown nylon stockings. The deep welts have a band of fancy knit ('ladderlock') below which is repeated in the toes. The legs and tops of the feet are in micro-mesh with plain heel and sole. The inside card is printed 'Patent Applied For' and the paper cover is printed with:

'Pretty Polly, Adrienne, Sheer Micro-mesh, New Ladder-locks, Another First for Pretty Polly, The first Ladderbands to guard sheer seam-free stockings at the two big danger points: the top and the toe'.
