A ladies two piece suit of waistcoat and skirt machine knitted in wool and acrylic mixture with a Jacquard pattern.
The high neck, straight waist, armholes and fronts of the waistcoat are all edged with ribbing in dark brown and fasten with eight buttons and buttonholes. The remainder of it is patterned with rows of stars, birds and trees in brown, fawn and grey.
The skirt is in two panels with ribbing from waist to hips and a band of patterning at the hem. Both waistcoat and skirt have labels:

The suit was originally worn with the long sleeved jumper shown here. The suit appeared in the Clothkits catalogue for 1978-9.
